Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

What better way to spend a Friday than reading Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin, Jr. and John Archambault with preschool! I wanted to get the kids involved so I die-cut the letters of the alphabet and made a coconut tree. I handed each student a letter. They had to pay attention to the story because when their letter was read, they had to make their letter get to the top of the coconut tree!  After the first time reading the story with the kids up and down, I re-read the story with the students saying the letters with me. I would point to the letter as I was reading and all the students would shout it out! Their favorite part was shouting “Boom Boom!”
